NES Classic Mini Canceled

Sad yet true.... Nintendo canceled the production of the classic NES (Nintendo Entertainment Systen) Mini console. A Nintendo Spokesperson told Eurogamer.net, "We can confirm that we are no longer manufacturing the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. If production resumes in the future, an update will be posted on the official Nintendo website.

NES Classic Mini consists of 30 Nintendo classic games in an original bite size version of the NES console for $59.99. There is speculation that the cancellation of the NES Classic Mini are due to scalping, hackers, or just meant for a limited time. Again, just speculation. But, if you have $300 or more to spare, the NES Classic Mini is available to purchase from re-sellers on  Amazon and eBay.

I'm so sad that I missed my chance to purchase the NES Classic Mini. When I was a kid, my dad bought the original NES console for bringing home good grades from school. I was absolutely addicted to Super Mario Bros (mainly, it was the only game my dad bought with the console). I wanted to share my gaming traditions with my daughter.

Hopefully, or at least wishful thinking, the Classic NES Mini will come back in time when my daughter brings home good grades from school. If not, then we will still carry on our gamer traditions; or at least create a new one.
